Description

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-residue peptide derived from a sequence found in a protein in human gastric juice. It is notably stable in acidic conditions.
Research context
It is one of the most-studied peptides in preclinical tissue research. Animal studies look at tendon, ligament, gut-lining and vascular repair models, and at its interaction with growth-factor and nitric-oxide pathways.
BPC-157 at a glance
- Compound: synthetic 15-residue peptide from a gastric-juice protein sequence
- Property: notably stable in acidic conditions
- Research areas: tendon, ligament, gut-lining and vascular repair models
- Supplied as: 10 mg lyophilized powder in a sealed glass vial
Handling and reconstitution
Let the BPC-157 vial reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, sterile water or a buffer suited to your assay, adding the diluent slowly down the vial wall and swirling gently rather than shaking. If the powder doesn’t dissolve fully, a dilute acetic acid solution may help where your protocol allows. Aliquot reconstituted BPC-157 to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, and record the lot number with your experimental data.
