Description
KPV is the three-amino-acid C-terminal end (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone.
Research context
It keeps much of α-MSH’s anti-inflammatory signalling in experimental models without its pigment effects, so it is studied in gut-inflammation and skin-inflammation models and in NF-κB pathway research.
